It's that time of the year again where Starlynk Bermuda goes Down Under for the Kangaroo Tour for the fourth time in history. This time a new face showed up in the squad: 22 years old Alex Minear. Hailed as one of the Bermudan top talents, Minear is an extremely versatile rider; a great sprinter who does well on the flat and in the hills and can also survive on the longer climbs and has decent time trial skills.
Kangaroo Tour might not be the best tour for his abilities, but Starlynk Bermuda is excited to see how young Minear will perform. "We hope we can compete for a stage win with either Alex or Monty (Pribble) and perhaps challenge for YC as well", manager Martijn Kleuskens commented.
Alex Minear himself appeared extremely confident: "I come here in top form, so I expect to take that Young Riders jersey home and go for the podium as well!". Manager Kleuskens laughed after hearing the comments of his young star: "It's always good if the riders are confident! We'll see how things pan out, but Alex still has a lot to learn so we won't go all in from the start. We also have Montgomery Pribble here who ended up on the podium in Edition 7 and took another top 10 last season. We'll see how things go in the prologue and then take it from there."
Montgomery Pribble appeared relaxed during the press conference. "It's nice to have a second rider here who can compete! Hopefully I can use my experience to get our team some nice results. I feel like this is the strongest team we've ever had here, so hopefully this will also show in the results!".
Kangaroo Tour starts with a short individual time trial in about 8 hours.

Thanks guys! :-D
With a perfectly timed top form Kangaroo Tour seems to be a fine tour for his abilities ;) Congratulations!
Just three stage wins, one second place, one fourth place and both classifications... that's a bit disappointing. :(
Good luck, Alex!
